Shane, from Ireland, and Ane, from Spain, have been together for over 10 years. After spending five years in a long-distance relationship between their two countries, they now live and work remotely while traveling full-time in their van. Both engineers, they’ve turned their love for adventure into a career as social media content creators, sharing their journey and inspiring others to explore the world.

Was your decision to live alternatively a sudden realisation or a build up of moments over time? 

It was definitely a build-up of moments over time. We were both working as engineers, gradually slipping into the rat race and finding ourselves caught in the monotony of doing the same tasks week after week. Over time, we realised this path wasn’t fulfilling for us. Although the decision to quit our jobs was daunting, we knew we wanted to embrace a meaningful life, travel and make memories while we’re still young.

How do you approach making major life decisions?

Ane actually has a method for this! She takes a sheet of paper and creates two columns: one for “Pros” and one for “Cons.” Then, she lists everything out point by point to get a clearer perspective on the situation. Funnily enough, that’s exactly how we decided to leave our jobs and start this journey! 

Have you ever made a major life decision based on the needs or opinions of someone else?

Not really important life choices but we do tend to go out of our way in any way shape or form to help others.

What core values guide your decisions and actions in life?

Creativity, Curiosity and Honesty.

How have your values evolved over time?

No they have remained the same.

What are your hobbies?

Shane’s hobbies include working on older cars (hence Fergus) and photography.

Ane’s hobbies include hiking, piano, reading and photography.

What are you most proud of in your life so far?

The both of us are incredibly proud of what we have achieved over the last 2 years since we quit our 9-5 jobs. We quit with a small following of a couple of hundred followers and we have now turned it into our full time jobs.

How do you envision your future?

We see ourselves following the same path for the next while, whilst growing our channel and working with dream brands along the way. 

Down the line we see ourselves buying an old property somewhere in Ireland and renovating it.

What advice would you give to someone facing a major life decision?

Just go for it!! You’ll not regret it.. what’s the worst than can happen?
