Having had a few months completely off work to unwind from 10 years in the software industry, I found myself with the desire to dedicate my time to a big passion of mine – this beautiful world that we live in! I think with more time on my hands, my eco-anxiety had been on overdrive and being vegan wasn’t enough for me anymore.

So I got to google and searched on the vegan jobs website. This is when I came across Verify Humanity. They are a compassionate conservation organisation whose aim is to break down the mindset that speciesism is ok through educational content. Speciesism is the belief that humans have greater moral rights than animals.

The role is for a spotlight writer to help write educational content about lesser known issues. Since I have loved writing on this blog this past year I thought this was a perfect match! Sooooo… here it is! My first article for Verify Humanity. I hope you have fun learning about Seahorses as much as I did!
